It's been a rewarding 2007...

Dear Children and Parents,

It's been a hectic but fulfiling year for me. This is my 2nd year teaching a Primary 1 class and I still enjoy the experience of guiding the little ones as they step into their beginning year of formal schooling. Their cute faces (this class is a very good looking class indeed! look at the slide show on the right and you will know what I mean!) and quirky antics in class always makes me smile even though they can make me exasperated many a time. It's amazing how much I've learnt from the children as well. Hopefully, this year had been a memorable one for all of us.
~Miss April loves all the Couragers of 2007~ *Hugs and kisses*

I would like to thank all parents for their support and encouragement throughout this one year. I'm glad that we have used the various means of communication, be it emails, calls or through the blog and homework diary to convey our views and opinions to each other. Thank you for appreciating my efforts. Your kind words and gestures are very encouraging to me.

May the rest of 2007 be filled with happy moments and here's wishing us all an advanced Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

GATHERING
Mrs Choo (Elkan's Mom) has suggested to me to have a gathering for all parents and children of 1 Courage for the last time before the children part to move up to their respective P2 classes. =(

Some ideas are:
1) Barbaque at Bishan canal
2) Show and Tell (Children to tell of their experience in 1C)
3) Gift exchange

I would however, need the help of more parents to organize this get-together. Kindly email me if you are interested. Reply me with your email address and contact number if possible. I will be collating a list of interested parents' contact details and will send out a mass mail. Communication will be much easier in that way. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Important matters

Dear all,

Please revise for the exams from all reading resources especially:

  1. English Textbook 1A & 1B
  2. Maths Textbook 1A & 1B
  3. Red file (English workbook pages)
  4. Green file (English worksheets)
  5. Blue file (Maths worksheets from workbook and homework book)
  6. KCPPS 2005 SA2 Exam papers - English and Mathematics
  7. KCPPS 2006 SA2 Exam paper - English

Homework for the 1 week break:

- > Rosyth SA2 Exam papers - English and Mathematics

Points to take note for the exams [Remind child!]
1. Write down NAME, INDEX NUMBER and CLASS on exam paper.

2. Do NOT leave any BLANKS. Try every single question. Make intelligent guesses if you do not know the answer.

3. TIME is precious! Move on to the next question if you are stuck on a particular question. Do the questions you are confident in and then return back to the questions that you were stuck at.

4. READ INSTRUCTIONS. Many children do not read instructions and hence, they lose marks. [They circle instead of colour, tick instead of cross out, start from smallest number instead of greatest etc]

5. After completing the paper, always CHECK! [Check that you have done ALL questions and check your answers to see if they make sense!]

All the best to my dearest Couragers~
